Entertainment and Media Centers.

Spring is my favorite time of year. I love all the activity as everything starts to come back to life. It has been an exceptionally cold and long winter so the change is especially exciting this year. So many things to do as I am expanding my garden this year as well as starting some projects around the house. I'm sure that I am not alone in this and would like to take this opportunity to tell you about some of the services I provide.

I have a lot of experience working with people on their woodworking projects. I've been doing this for over thirty years and have seen a lot of changes in the industry. I stay on top of what is hot in the industry as well as timeless design, that is always in style.

I have a recently had a lot of interest in entertainment centers that fit widescreen and flat TV's. They can be a bit challenging but there are a lot of different options available for them. A few years back it was popular to put your TV behind pocket doors. TV's were not so wide and much deeper back then so pocket doors worked well with them. A lot of people now are not trying to hide the TV as much as to display it. I can still use pocket doors to hide your TV but what I have found is that you need to use bifold doors as well as the pocket door hardware. There are a few advantages to doing this. For one you don't need the depth that is associated with traditional pocket doors.

Another option if you're wanting to hide your TV is pop up hardware. While these units are expensive they do offer a very sleek and functional way to hide your Big screen. The advantage to these is that they don't take up a lot of space and can have multiple uses.

Some people are also going with projection TV's These work well with retractable screens and are another way to hide you TV when not in use.

It's always nice to have a wall unit with bookcase's and base cabinets. We have done numerous different designs and layout with this type of unit. The important thing is to find what option works best for you. Your lifestyle, space and budget are all considerations. I am always happy to work with the customer to find the best solution for your needs.
